Machinarium Flash Game
Machinarium - a flash game currently developed by Amanita Design. Coming 2008!
A few years ago, Jakub Dvorsky released his first hit game called Samorost. Soon
after that Samorost 2 was released under the umbrella of Amanita Design. Both
games enjoyes tremendous success among keen online players as it brought a fresh
concept and true artistic value to the online gaming scene. Jakub follows the
European animation school style which has spread all over the world thanks to
the Internet. Many of us from Europe had a chance to enjoy numerous cartoons and
animation by some of the greatest and most original authors of the 80's and 90's
- now the whole world is able to appreciate this unique strand of animation art
form.
We all expect Machinarium to be a pinnacle of Jaukub's creative work. Follow the

Harvey Milk DVD
The Past Harvey Milk Feature
The
release of the Harvey Milk DVD is the culmination of a long cinematic journey.
The film features Sean Penn in the role of the famous gay activist and the film
covers the life story of this man in depth. What many people do not know about
this project is that is has taken many years to reach production. The film
entered development many years ago and was originally to be a project directed
by Oliver Stone. The lead role of Harvey Milk was to be played by Robin Williams
in a rare dramatic role. (Such a performance would have made for a much
different Harvey Milk DVD) Things being what they are, the film project was
never made and it languished in development for years. Of course, the film has
been made and it is available for viewing on home DVD release. What would the
film have looked like if Oliver Stone and Robin Williams actually did produce
their version? It is difficult to speculate on what the finished project would
have been like. Surely it would have followed similar Oliver Stone conventions
although he did tone down a lot of his over the top editing over the years. But,
once again, speculating about a movie that was never made is exactly that –
speculation. And it is also unnecessary since we do have a finished product in
the form of an academy award winning product. You can check it out by purchasing
or renting the Milk DVD.
Seven Pounds On DVD
Mysterious,
moving and intricately structured, Will Smith's "Seven Pounds" is now out on
DVD. The plot of "Seven Pounds" is deliberately obscure to preserve the mystery;
suffice to say it is the story of one man's quest for repentance and fulfillment
through relationships with others. But the relationships are not easily
understood and what Smith's character is setting out to do does not become clear
until well into the movie. Hints are dropped, connections are forged, images
emerge, and gradually the answers do appear. Audiences will appreciate the
suspense but may feel uneasy when they solve the puzzle because while the hero's
purpose is generous and compassionate his methods are hard-edged and morally
gray; viewers may find it incredulous. Smith, as always, is easy to watch and
his co-star Rosario Dawson luminescent. To tweak your curiosity, know that
animals like dogs and jellyfish play important supporting roles. Actors Woody
Harrelson, Barry Pepper and Michael Ealy turn in solid performances. With "Seven
Pounds" Director Gabriel Muccino has crafted a clever and rhythmic film of
poignant contrasts and discoveries. The DVD is packed with features.
